well the powermadds were way to big and hit the windshield badly, restricting my turns. I already sold them to a buddy. Went with the NEW yamaha soft guards from Port Yamaha.

Sounds like a clogged jet Im sorry to say. So it sounds like you need to clean them again. Im about to clean mine for the second time this season with only 5 miles on her so far. Shitty gas.
Wow, thanks Rob. Im a little confused. So do these work alone by just velcroing around around the handlebars? or do they need to be placed over a harder hand guard? Do you have any mounted pics up close?
a heated shield wire directly hooked to the battery. Very cold, didnt have any starting fluid, and not a very fresh battery. Jumped boxed it and a puff of smoke came out from where it mounted to the battery. It still wouldnt start, went and found some starting and vroom, started right up.
