Hello all,
I am in the process of putting my nytro back together after removing the engine for a new head gasket. I have run into a snag in locating where two wires go. There is one black wire that was off the starter relay which I think goes to the starter motor. The other black wire has a pig...
Hey guys,
I am currently working on removing the engine in my nytro but have run into a snag. Is it possible to get it out without removing the front clip or the bulk head supports? Not sure if anyone was any tricks to this job.
Thanks in advance
Ok guys I'm in a pretty rough spot on what to do with my 2008 Nytro. Two seasons ago I had a stud go thru the heat exchanger and in turn blew the head gasket. I researched the fix and came up with quotes from 2500 - 3000$. I already have a new sled coming this winter so the question is what to...
If you guys read the blog CR says quote
"The TY thread on 2014 MY Yamaha has grown to over 55 pages and what a fantastic read for someone who has the complete inside POV. For the record Yamaha did not buy any shares in any of our competitors companies outside of KYB shock absorbers, which...
I'm getting really sick of spending hundreds of dollars on my sleds replacing parts that should last years. Its getting very hard to justify my Yamaha. I really hope they had turn it around. I love Yamaha but I'm getting close to jumpING
A head gasket can go bad in many ways. In my case the exhaust gasses are leaking into the coolant causing and over presureized cooling system. In this case there wouldn't be any oil in coolant just exhaust gases which you can test for.
I almost guarantee its the head gasket. My sled has a blown head gasket right now and it will push the coolant out of the overflow tank because its is over pressurizing. Next time you ride empty your overflow tank and fill the radiator. If your overflow ends up full to the top then your in the...
If your looking for a sled to play off trail with why not buy a sno x sled. They come with 1.75" tracks and are super light and agile.
You can find a ski doo RS600 or a Arctic cat 600 sno pro for under 5k
If I do a pressure test would that tell me if its leaking into the cylinders?
I am thinking some coolant could have possibly spilled on the header causing the smell.
Hey guys,
So at the end of last season I had a stud go thru my heat exchanger on the trail. At the time I didn't know why
the sled was overheating so I rode it about 5 miles back to the camp.
So I has the heat exchanger welded and tonight I started it for the first time. I drained the...
Can you take a picture from behind so you can see what the seat support looks like. I want to do an under tunnel exhaust but wanted to see what its going to look like before I pull the trigger
I have the subframe off the machine because I was going to buy a new one and just now decided to fix the old one :o| Is there any way you know of to fix it off the sled
I am wondering if anyone on here has straightened a subframe or know of someone who does. I feel like it is a waste buying a brand new one and rather just fix the one I have. Let me know what you guys think
