As predicted, the weather has turned warm. We've had rain twice so far this week, and it hasn't been below freezing since Sunday. The local club has stopped grooming the trails and doesn't plan to start again (until next winter). The dog bombs are already visible in my yard! Unless...

Well we've stayed back below freezing for a little while and have had a blessing of fresh snow to groom so the trails are back in good working order. That being said, this may be the last weekend to get any good riding, at least for the foreseeable future. The temperatures are...

Well as feared the rain came late on Friday and stayed through the day on Saturday. Saturday evening everything froze back up to an icy, bumpy mess. We're still below freezing but with no new snow the trails are a bit rough and icy at best. There isn't much for snow in the forecast...

Things have calmed back down and #1 & 2 from previous post no longer apply! Conditions have been very good as of lately with good amounts of snow over the last week (+9" or 23cm) and cool temperatures. This weekend may be a bit nasty though: tomorrow (Friday) the temperature is...

I'll try not to wait a month between posts from now until the end of the season. That said, conditions have been fairly good for the past month right up until this past weekend. We had some warm weather (above freezing) that really hit the snowpack hard. The temps have dropped back...

Well my first thread post isn't much later than last years, though the reasons are entirely different. We haven't had enough snow to make it worthwhile to move my machine. Groomers have been running the trails for a couple weeks now, but I'm not sure what they've been grooming...
Usually pretty quick. Keep in mind, though, it is summer and things get a little quiet around here, so it may take a little longer. I believe Tom (aka MrSled) manually changes your status (it's not automatically done when you pay)...

Well we still have tons of snow but with the warm days and cold nights, it's all rock hard! With no real snow in the forecast, and the trails across private closed, I'm calling it a season (as much as it pains me). It was a cold one for sure. See you all next year!

We got roughly 3-6" of wet heavy yesterday along with some serious wind (enough to drift the snow to a foot deep in my driveway in places). With the next several days having daytime highs above freezing and the sun getting more and more intense, I don't think this new found snow is...
Thanks LoneRider! Yeah things are in a downward spiral right now. I'm gunna hold off until tomorrow before giving a report for this upcoming weekend, there is a good chance of some accumulation so I'm going to wait and see...
Edit: I forgot to mention the TASA groomers are down for major...

Well the weather took the worst possible turn...rain. They were calling for a 50% chance of it today but not in significant amounts. I heard it start at about 5:30 this morning and it has been raining off and on ever since. The trails are for sure going to be sloppy at best, bare...
This whole week has been warm but its been getting below freezing at night, the trails are setup hard in the morning but will definitely soften quickly. We had a lot of snow but 40Fs (+4C) with sun and wind really puts a hurt on the snow pack. I'm thinking the trails will be alright but not...
Time will tell, it's supposed to get pretty warm this week during the day, near 40F (4C), and get just below freezing at night. With as much snow as we've had this year, I'm thinking we should survive until this weekend ok but if it stays like this for more than a week, it's going to put a...

Should be pretty nice for riding this weekend as temps are closer to where they should be: in the 20s (-6C). That may also mean more "fair weather" sledders meaning the trails will get pounded. But, either way it will be nice to have decent temps to ride in.
