Which Suspention For My S.C. Apex..

Timbersled works well climbing too, you can put different shims in to really make the suspension hook together. Timbersled just needs grease every few rides, other than that just go. I'd recommend Timbersled (I have one with 162 rails extended to 174 and can lift the whole skid with 1 arm)...

    schooled

If you really want to get that thing to turn and your in the open. Stand on the left running board with right foot on it. Throw your left foot out, yank it over and hammer it, bend your left knee to about 90 degrees and just let your leg basically drag through the snow. You can pretty much lay...

    checking oil

You are both incorrect, start the sled and let it warm up. Then pull out the dipstick, wipe it part way off, then just set the dipstick in there. DO NOT thread it in at all.

    Oil filter questions?

The oil filter can be found on the front of the motor, under the battery, which is under the air box. And to remove the airbox the headlights need to come off, and to remove the headlights you need to remove the panel where the key switch is.

    Boost Calc

Just got an email back from Leipheimer Yamaha in Butte, MT (MCXpress USA dealer) The new MCXpress 290 kit runs 14lbs of boost at sea level on pump 91 to get you up to that 290hp mark. And it will auto compensate for air pressure change. I will be looking into this kit a lot more in the near...

    What are these for?

Thanks, I didn't even think of that. I'll look at the other Apex Mtn I have and check. That one has reverse, and the one I found the wires on DOES NOT. EDIT: These 2 wires are in fact for the reverse beeper. Mods can now close this thread.

    What are these for?

Found these two wires on the right side of the gas tank when I removed it, they weren't plugged into anything. It's a pink and black wire, both female ends. Are these for the electronic adjustable shocks? Since mine is an Apex Mtn they aren't used? Thanks.

    Bulkhead replacement

I wouldn't think you'd have to remove all of #1, just #2. #1 would be seperating the whole front end from the tunnel. I only broke the ear where the A-arm mounts on #2. Anyways I'm not replacing it, just going to get it welded. Easier, cheaper, and stronger.

    Boost Calc

    If I'm doing this Boost Calculator thing right, based on a .060" head shim with the head gasket gives me .077" for an Apex I can run 91 with 12lbs @ 1000' 14lbs @ 5000' 15lbs @ 8000' 16lbs @ 10,000' and also I can run 20lbs @ 1000' on 100 octane? Is this right? That seems like a...

    bulkhead replacement

How big of a job is it to replace the front left(sitting on sled) bulkhead. This is the piece the front suspension mounts to. Do you have to remove the motor to get at all the rivets? Thanks. Would appreciate some steps to do this.

    Bunch of turbo questions

Well guys I'm thinking about a turbo for the APEX this summer and have quite a few questions. First of all I would go with one of Impulse's kits. Thinking 10-15lbs of boost. With that said here we go. Which turbo kit would be right for me from Impulse? How hard is it to install a head...

    broken Apex front bulkhead

I have to do this same thing, broke mine last week, was going down over a rock in Island Park and the dual carbides on the Gen 2s weren't any help and broke it open.

    Can cast aluminum be welded?

Also broke the bottom A-arm mount out of an Apex this past week, dropped down over a hill and the dual carbides on the Simmons Gen2 scraped and caught on the rock a lil and broke it.
