Or, so little to announce that they are going low-key about it.
I have a feeling the Yamaha die hards are going to be kicked in the nuts again waiting for some new Yamaha product.
Those Indys are pretty fast. My buddy had a 600 last year and it was a rocket for the cc. They remind me of an old Mustang 5.0 LX. Fast but kind of bare bones in equipment.
Take it with a grain of salt, but the Supertrax guys say that the Indy 800 will be the fastest non-turbo sled on the...
Bingo. No way is Yamaha even considering buying Arctic Cat. I bet they make more money at the end of the day just selling engines to AC than they do building complete snowmobiles after all the expense of R&D, inventory controls etc... is taken into consideration.
I bought my Nytro in the US. They are so reliable the lack of warranty in Canada wasnt a big issue to me.
I dont think I am prepared to buy a Viper in the US today with all the issues that Cat has had with the Procross sleds the last 2 seasons.
I dont think Yamaha had anything to do with the development of the ProCross. If they did, it woudnt have had so many issues.
I think we are all just in denial that Yamaha is using a Cat chassis and couldnt come up with anything better on their own.
I must be one of the few guys around who like Nytros. I loved my XTX. My biggest complaint about it and the main reason for getting a Viper over a Nytro is the gas tank. I still cant figure out why Yamaha didnt put a bigger tank on the XTX back in 09. I know lots of guys who either sold...
Cat is going to have the exact same sled in their lineup but in green from what my local Cat/Yamaha dealer tells me.
My hunch is that this partnership is a trial run to see how well the companies work together. I bet the number crunchers at Yamaha are already figuring if they can make more $...
I get a new sled every year and I have a couple of Nytros. I havent had an Apex since 06 but I just cant justify the amount of $$ that an Apex XTX is going to cost me. I was hoping that someone would tell me that the Vector would be just amazing.
It looks like a black Nytro XTX will be...
What is the difference in performance going to be between these 2 sleds?
I have a had couple of Apexs and Nytros and have kicked around the idea of a Vector LTX. I would love a new Apex XTX but I just dont want to spend that much money. A Yamaha dealer buddy has offered me a smoking deal on...
Not that it hasnt been beat to death already, but I just put a set of Slydog Trails on my 2011 XTX and wow, do they evey make a difference!!
Best money ever spent on a Nytro IMO.
It looks as though the days of lowering prices are over in the car biz as well. GM just upped their 09 prices from $500-1800 across the board on Monday.
