I ran a hose up then back down along the back side of the chain case. I day lighted it about an inch below the running board in the toe hold area. Dont forget to make a cut in the hose parallel with hose 6 or 8 inches from the bottom just incase the bottom hole freezes shut.
I would get the xtx le. More traction for pulling fish house through slush. And more capable to access backcountry lakes. Still plenty fast. Great shocks, and factory scratchers for when lakes get hard. Just my opinion.
You are right on there! Before i switched to a apex primary last season. I warranted 2 xs825 belts. Very little questions asked, a picture or two and a new belt a couple days later.
Awesome customer service!
For sure! Kids make it special! Had them on a 72 kiddy cat when they were 2.
My 5 year old rides a 82 bravo and my 8 year old rides a 97 ovation. I guide or follow them around with a 91 phazer 2 st.

Stay in touch here Steve. Love your posts and insight.
I've learned not to sip morning coffee while reading your post. I end up spitting it all over my bench from busting out in laughter at your humor.
Everything Knapp just said is spot on what I found with the primary sticking out 1.5mm father.
I do believe the plastic washers on the sides of the weight and/or rollers on the apex primary are thinner than the winder primary. Everything else was a direct swap. I did take 3 grams of weight out...
I've been trying lots of different things. I still have hot clutches and belt.
I have a apex primary. I like alot.
I took 1.5mm of my secondary shaft to align with the hurricane alignment bar.

Just curious why you switched from stms to dalton? And the overall outcome?
I'm currently running stms60y loaded to 74 grams on a 250hp tune and I'm trying to get my cluch temps down. I was thinking of trying dalton qay70.
You're going to want to keep some sort of rollover valve on the top of that oil tank. If you ever tip it on its side or roll it over in deep snow oil will run out like water.
I like many others I disconnected the vent line from the charge tubes to keep that warm oily air out of the intake...
I'm in the same boat btx se. I cant keep belts on it when off trail. It's no fun not being able to use the throttle for fear of exploding a belt.
I'm currently looking into getting a button secondary setup. I'll post results here if I follow through.
Great job Mike!
This is great to hear. All the off trail riding I do. There is hope I'll be able the use more than half throttle and not roast rollers and belt.
Thanks
I have a 17 btx se. I really like it. I ride 50 50 trail and off trail. It's not the fastest cornering sled obviously. ( actually is a good thing, gets me to slow down a little haha) but it trails just fine for me. The 153 1.75 gets incredible traction on trails. Off trail riding the added...
