Ski Wheels - Qualipieces Roller Ski vs Rouski

I have a set of each. I have Rouskis on my wife's Doo 600 etec and the Qualipieces on my winder. To deploy the Rouskis it takes both hands. One to lift the ski the other to grab the handle and deploy the wheel. The Qualipieces you lift the ski with your hand and deploy the wheel by...

Have to post this about a recent clutch job I am working on....FYI

Well, I am the guy that Terry helped out. Terry, I cannot thank you enough for the AWESOME job on clutching and tuning you did on my Turbo viper......truly remarkable.! The scary part is if it would have been running and tuned correctly, the first 120 mph RR grade run would have probably...

is there 45 spaces between lugs on a 128 track?

The formula for calculating how many "spaces" for studs is track length divided by track pitch (distance between lugs) 128 ~ 2.52= 50.79 or 51 rows. If its a 129, it would be 129~2.86=45.1 or 45 rows.

How’s attak track Ratcheting with AC skid?

AC skid Yeah, the blacked out wheels were a last ditch effort before a trip to the U.P.... Just used Krylon paint for plastic, but it didn't hold up too well. I have since replaced the wheels with black and silver AC wheels. I also replaced the tattored snow flap with a longer one. No one...

AC skid No ratcheting at all as Ahicks said, just pure riding pleasure......this skid transformed the sled completely......I do run anti stab wheels in front because of the attack angle change.. Mike

Anyone with a AC Sno-pro skid under their machine yet?

Yes Sir, Have an 06 AC sno pro 700 136" skid from a Crossfire under my 06 Apex GT......Sent all 4 shocks to Hygear, they worked their magic and it rides excellent. Ross and company balanced the front to the new rear superbly! I get the heavy beast a few feet off the ground quite often and...

Cutting open track windows and add clips.

Yes, I actually find myself in "Shevegas" quite often as I work at Kohler... Do you do a lot of local riding? When the snow is good, the local trails can be great fun...but the window of opportunity for good riding seems to shrinking every year. What kind of track did you score for free...

Cutting open track windows and add clips.

cutting open track windows and adding clips Yes, you can. Or just cut the windows open and leave the clips off. Either way has about the same effect. Be very careful cutting the opening to make sure the corner of the cut does not go beyond the perpendicular cut. A stray cut could lead to a...

What do you guys think of a ported track.

ported track FWIW...... A ported track IS inherently weaker than a non ported track. In the deep powder there is typically not as much stress on a track. If you are riding in the UP or off trail, probably not a bad thing. The snow exits the track easier giving you more track speed, and...

    HELP! Using LOTS of oil

help Okay, Took a few things apart.....This time the airbox is dry...?? I checked all the hoses they are properly hooked up (damn, thought it could be a simple fix), but no such luck. Okay, question.....If I run it like this until the end of the season, what is the risk of a full...

Hygear Dual rate vs Big boy.

hygear Hygear, just do it! You really can't compare a single rate spring against what Hygear does. That would be like comparing apples to oranges. The twisted springs and hy lo rezi's give you the ability to get the suspension dialed in for anything from stutters to big whoops.....This is my...

    HELP! Using LOTS of oil

Help Thanks All for the great feedback to my dilemma! I am going to first check the hoses and from the crankcase to the airbox, Soldiers papa, I hope you are correct!! If that fails to be the fix, I will do a compression and leakdown test. If I going through two quarts or so in 150 miles...
