This is what I put on my 07 FX

The front plate is .06" thick T-304 stainless steel perforated sheet with .125" holes and a .1875" stager from onlinemetals.com. The other pieces are aluminum angle and bar stock with aluminum rivets.

I have 350 miles on the mods with no problems at all. Only the rear hole is closed, but I plan on doing the front as well. I will wrap the front exhaust with motorcycle heat tape. The perforated grill guard is stainless steel from onlinemetals.com.
