I am going out to big horn mountains in a couple weeks and was wondering if there is anything i need to do to my sled. It's a srx but i do have a storm track on it. it will be on the trails and some off trail riding nothing major as im a newb to powder riding and there isn't a ton of snow out...
i am noticing now that every so often when i get on my sled and start it IS reverting back to being on firm without me changing it so something still isn't quite right but at least i can adjust it though
Looks like one of the front shocks was unplugged just a hair and that’s apparently how it reacts if it can’t see all the shocks you would think it would throw a code. Once we get out of this cold snap I’ll take it for a ride and make sure it’s good mayythis will help someone out later
My rear shock failed at the end of last season so i had all of them rebuilt by carver performance this fall. after i had them reinstalled and started the sled i got a code for one of the shocks. At that time the shocks could not be adjusted and they were all very stiff. So i turned the sled off...
I’ll check it when I get home tomorrow. Put the correct spring in last night it’s still did it a couple times last night but 160 miles of pretty hard riding today it’s been pretty flawless not sure what the hell is going on
Currently on a trip when we left I noticed my primary spring was broke, when going to load the sled pinned it inthe yard and went to turn hard left under braking the sled dies. We checked the harness and also unplugged kill switch nothing changed did the same thing. Changed the primary spring...
worst part is i had to argue with the dealer to get it warrantied and then i get the new parts home and the brand new bearing race spins on the brand new driveshaft wth? just ordered the barn of parts drive shaft saver otherwise this one will be trashed too
ill probably just un hook the break line and take it to my friends shop to press the bearing out, My driveshaft is trashed i had a small vibration last year and i had already done the top gear in the case that always wears out so i wasn't sure what it was looks like i found it
Interesting i just pulled my drive shaft out tonight and its wasted, How does the drive shaft bearing come out? take the c clip out and beat it out with a hammer? i would like to bring it to the dealer tomorrow to hopefully get it warranted.
yea mines broke too, been broke all year so far i don't use it much anyway i will drop it off at the dealer after the season under warranty and they can fix it, one of many stupid things on this sled
I had mine apart 6 weeks ago and didn't notice the bushing being bad, the dealer had the chain tension out 2 3/4 turns, when i put it back together i welded the screws for the tensioner and backed it off 1 3/4 turns. Is that still too tight? i have 3000 miles on my 19 srx.
there are 2 part...
How do you tell if these are bad? Are they oblong and the gear is sloppy on the shaft? I have mine apart right now and if i hold the gear on the shaft i can get a little play from it side to side, i would assume i should have none. The bushing itself looks good but like i say there is a small...
I never wanted the electronic shocks when i bought my srx, but i will say i absolutely love them and glad i got them. I switch them on the fly pretty often and its been a nice piece to this sled.
