Anything you do with the exhaust will help... clutch kit will make the biggest difference. I changed the gearing in mine as well... 20t sprocket versus the 17t. Also added 13.9(?) rivets in the weights. It no longer bounces off the limiter on take off. It also dramatically increased the top...

I have the flatlander specs on mine (MTX) and it hits the limiter from a stop at WOT. Will adding bigger rivets on the inside take care of that?

I will be in Grand Marais the week of February 20th, If anyone would like to go. I go with same group of guys every year and have a blast. We rent a house in town with plenty of room. It's cheap and the riding can't get much better.

The Phazer sucks air into the air-box from below, that area often gets plugged up with snow causing the engine idle low and bog, so... get some bullseye's (or something similar) and put them in the air-box cover... I have six in there and it helps.

I change it or add to it every year. Just some minor cosmetic changes this time. Added some new decals, powder-coated the front bumper and A-arms, waiting on the vinyl for the rear plastic... which will match the front. :Rockon:

Do I have to replace the spindles or will the bushing kit alone fix the slop?

You don't even have to remove the boot. There is a small plastic cap that can be removed to access the adjustment screw.

The MTX is fine for trail riding. I have over 2400 miles on mine. I recently added an extra wheel to the skid to save some hyfax but other than that I love it. It handles well, I think, for a long track. I can out ride my friends through the twisty's on their Ski-Doo and Polaris sit down...
