Not sure. You might just be able to pull the o-ring out of the head, depending on where the groove is compared to where the fire ring on the oem head gasket lines up... Also how deep is the groove in the head ? You don't want to cut too much off the deck face of the head because it will alter...
When riding in deep snow, the track is loaded way more and therefore pull the RPM's down. You might be good on RPM off trail but will run a higher RPM on the trail. The end "Tip" bolt on the weight will mostly effect RPM at the higher top end speeds where the weight is flung almost all the way...
Don't tune RPM with the secondary. Yes, the primary will grab a different belt with a different rubber compound better and drag your RPM down a bit but it's only temporary and not consistent the more you beat on it and get heat into the belt. You need to add weight to the mid section of the...
Looks like a Thunder Products Heavy Hitter kit, I just installed on in my 2015 viper RTX DX.
When is it hitting the rev limiter, off the line or at what speed?
Check the speedometer side drive shaft bearing. If that is OK, then check the track drivers for damage and the driveshaft for run-out, it might be bent.
The soot won't kill the sensor, lead in race fuels kills sensors. It coats the little pores in the sensor surface like a glaze. Another is if the sensor is run in a AFR that is severly rich, but the picture of your plugs disproves that. A sympton of a failing sensor is it will react very slowly...
Are you running fresh fuel? What are the plugs gapped at?
Your O2 sensor for the AFR gauge is probably crapping out. Make sure the power and ground to the gauge are good.
The MCX box is fine if it runs good under boost. Make sure you have a good clean pressure signal to both the OEM MAP sensor...
Verify that AEM fuel pressure gauge has playback... most AEM gauges only have a 0-5v analog output signal that can be sent to a separate data aquisition / logger, not a memory with logging that can be played back like some of our VDO tachs.... Just in case you don't have a stand alone data...
I have a 2015 RTX DX manufacture date of 04/2014 bought new out of the crate. No dipstick, only the sightglass on the side of the oil tank and a fill cap.
Full Power Performance makes a dual outlet trail muffler that goes across the back of the turbo under the heat sheild.
I have one on my Apex.
Not sure what the lead time would be for them to make one though.
The GEMS controller is load based, using injector pulse length and boost pressure. I first started out using a similar Dobek piggy back contrtoller on my boosted Apex, had a burble / misfire when it transitioned into boost at 2psi while cruising, the boost fuel was coming on too much. If I...
I believe you have a rich misfire, the controller is flogging the motor with too much fuel right where it is transitioning into boost. Too much too soon.
Does your AFR gauge have the ability to read richer than 10:1? You might be actually experiencing 9:1 that is causing the misfire, like...
What does a little better mean with the AFR? What is it reading before and during the misfire at cruising part throttle? It sounds like an unhappy fueling transition in the map of the GEMS controller.
When you have a misfire in a cylinder, or cylinders, the unburned air passes into the exhaust and that is why you will see a big fluctuation in the AFR from rich to lean. 10:1 at part throttle is too rich, flooding the motor and probably causing a rich misfire.
I don't think the plug gap was the...
The red light was from a hobb switch that detected oil pressure from the pump, lit up when there wasn't enough pressure or the pump quit working.
You are getting oil into the charge side / compressor side and into the intercooler and carbs. Are you getting oil coming out the exhaust too?
Oil...
