This is something i did a lot of looking into, i had an issue with my rails so decided to replace and went with blue ones from a 15.. little more "beefed up" from 14s, only thing i found was that one of the set of holes were 10mm where as 14 they were 8mm, i thought about drilling/tapping out...

Not a bad job to replace, i took control arm boot off muffler side, remove hood, airbox bumper, radiator support bracket, nose cone injust oulled forward and let it hang and drill rivets for brackets out i used a right angle drill but im sure a guy could get a regular on them..then took shroud...

I know what your saying seems not right but sometimes they do the update and fix for customers who complain or have problems instead of recalling what would end up being every sled tht left the factory from 14-16, same with cat..i will say that i cant remember having this many problems or...

Update** yamaha offers a "bracket kit" with new updated parts and includes new rivets/nut for steering post.. yamaha did parts for me, everyone check yours!

hauck exhaust actually had gains on the dyno..most silencers out there actually lose 5-8hp, but they do sound good if all you want to do is turn heads..makes you look funny though when someone pulls up next to you and makes you look stupid if front of those people as they drive around you lol

around 20lbs lighter than nytro, side by side down trail nytro still pulls top end but viper is smoother compared to nytros low end grunt and torque

ditch the 1.75 track and MBRP, can sounds bada$$ but doesnt make any HP we proved it on the dyno and the 1.75 acts like a big sail when coming around.. if you do most of your riding off trail why worry about top speed? cant really have best of both worlds with a deep lug track
