hey gang The top of the rear tunnel is dished out on my 141 XTX and the brace under the twilight is bent. I installed a new piece of angle but it did not hold. I have been trying to find a rear tunnel brace or top carrier. looked at the pro climb bracket. will this work? Any other options...

    thermostat opening temperature?

I think this is an easy question. Sled has been running consistently in 185-192f range. Pulled the thermostat and it is stamped 82C (179.6F). I am guessing it should be a 170F thermostat. Is this correct - did the shop install the wrong thermostat?

Hi all - just getting caught up with you concerning this ROV issue. I recognize this has been discussed extensively and there is a delete option and an aftermarket tethered ROV . Wondering if there is a way to request a copy of the service history on a 2 year old sidewinder. The machine was reportedly dealer serviced in Canada.

    Frozen air bypass valve

I had oil and ice in the boost tubes and the air blow off valve was frozen. Would this damage the turbo? The sled started running hotter so I shut it down and towed it home.

    Missing: Manual for 2018 Sidewinder

Hi everyone, I recently purchased a used Sidewinder XTX. I noticed the manual was missing but did not think it was a big deal because I have been able to download them in the past. I've downloaded the manual from the Yamaha site but unfortunately they have password protected it so it is...

2018 SW xtx 141 ride quality

I have searched the reviews in this sled. Seems there are concerns about the Fox 3 shocks. Most people seem to favor the 137 Ltx mainly because of the shocks . I like the longer uncoupled 141 track but don't want a harsh riding sled. Approx 70% trailing ride but I really enjoy the option to...

    Nytro XTX center shock oil

Does anyone have experience with changing the shock oil on the center shock? It was rebuilt and revalved 2 years ago (2500 miles or so). It is in good shape and I am considering changing the oil myself over the holidays if it not too difficult. I have pulled the other shocks off and sending...

    Front GTYR clickers rebuild

Just wonder what the recommended rebuild interval is on the front 40mm GYTR dual clicker gas shocks on the xtx. Mine seem to be working ok and I have never touched them. Approx 7500 miles on the sled. Sending the rear and centre (already rebuilt once) out to Star for rebuilding -...

after market torsion springs for nytro xtx?

I have a 2011 nytro xtx with 8500 miles and it seems the springs are getting tired. The price of the factory springs is too much $$ for me. Anyone know of an aftermarket option?

Torsion spring from MTX fit an XTX

Does anyone happen to know whether the springs on the MTX are the same as the XTX? I found a used set off a MTX for $100. Mine on my 2011 XTX seem to be worn out at 8000 miles. I still have a fair amount of sag even with the STAR upgrade on my rear skid.

Triming dash: OFT steering relocate on XTX

I installed the OFT relocate kit and I am very happy with the result. The throttle cable was rerouted as per the install instructions. I think the previous owner install a POWERMADD riser, which is making both the hydraulic brake and parking brake cables tight. I trimmed as a much as I could...

2011 nytro xtx with 7500miles - installed the star suspension last year. Still have some sag but I think it is the torsion springs. I had the front shock and spring done by star last year too. Yamaha dealer quoted $217 cdn plus tax each for new springs. Are there any other options? That is...

    blowing soleniods??

One of the guys in my group has a 2012 Vector GT. He ended up getting it wet when he broke though the ice over a deep puddle. The water did not reach the intake, it just splashed over the hood. Later that day the temperature dropped and it iced up. Then it would not start without crossing...

    star suspension sagging

I suspect I may have messed up the install in my nytro xtx somehow. With the sled sitting on the ground I still have 2 to 3 inches of sag. Friction is reduced. The back sags back down after I pick up the back. It is almost like my stock torsion springs are too weak. Centre shock was also...
