Mine ran like crap also when I started it up this fall. I cleaned the carbs and it started right up and it ran fine. Problem solved. Wrong!! After a month it ran like crap again. Off came the carbs a 2nd time. This time I noticed 2 of the needle and seats were stuck. I cleaned and used a little WD 40 and put it all back together and it ran good again. A quick 100 MPH run down my road (Hayward WI has 3 inches of snow) and my headache was over for now.. Yea I ordered 4 new needle and seats from Yamaha and will put them in soon. Sometimes fuel and electrical problems act the same. I think I found my solution and I don't have to run down any shorts in the wiring, YET!!
