05 rx1 flashing code 3

My rx1 is flashing the engine icon and caution light 3 times. This code means thumb warmer switch but seems to be working fine. Will it harm the machine to drive it like this??? I know a couple of times I have gotten a shock off of my one hand grip. They are worn out pretty bad. Any help would be appreciated in how to test them or troubleshoot the problem.

you can un plug the warmers or pull the fuse and finish the season if you like. it should just trip a code.

Found the problem. Broken wire at the connection of the TPS. I guess it was 2 long and one short flash.
