06 BARS

I installed my 06 bars on my 03 and I have no code 81 and the grips after 3-4 mins of running at idle to just off idle were 90 degrees. I have no snow for testing but as soon as I do I will a full temp test.

The 06 bars are a decent upgrade to the 03 with the right riser and isolated hooks.

I used a Powermadd pivot with a 3" Fly riser. I may want to go and inch higher but I will have to get some saddle time in to see.

My "last" mod is a bar riser..but I have decided which bars I'm going use. The seat looks awesome!!

I have an '05 RX1 and have the opertunity to do the same thing w/ a set of '06 handle bars. Was just a direct plug in for the handwarmers or did you have to do some wire splicing? I hope they work because I am getting them for free!

You have to play with the wireing a bit but pay close attention how the bars your takeing off are wired. Insulate the hooks with rubber teflon or plastic waqshers and it's money.

Insulate the hooks, do you mean put a spacer between the end of the handlebar and the hook to stop it from drawing all of the heat away? Do you have any pics?

I didnt order any. I got some 06 bars from a guy who changed his out.
