For us the typical riding destinations that are within a 2-3 hr drive either haven't opened their trails due to lack of snow/base, or only opened for a day and lost the snow. This has been an unusual season in more ways than one.
Usually western New York or the lower half of Michigan has rideable trails by now. Lower MI is sketchy right now. Western NY, none.

actually yamaha started making duponts for other brand sleds, so if you know the correct profile you can get them.

any of the ty rides would show you some new areas to ride in.

I use Yamalube 0W-40 Full synthetic (LUB-00W40-12) and for the filter, I run Napa Gold's 1358.

As for a place to ride when owning a 4 stroke power plant like the Apex begs for the long rail grades of the eastern U.P. We use to ride the lower but IMO trails are better, better grooming, less stops makes crossing the bridge all the more worth while. We usually stay around the Curtis/Seney/Newberry area so that you can ride out in all directions as opposed to say staying in St. Ignace. Have been slowly migrating west and someday want to make a trip clear to Houghton if @cannondale27 ever invites me on one of his solo trips :D. I have a 3 place trailer and usually take both Apex's when going up so always have room for one more lol.

My 07 apex adjustable shock does not work.
Does any one know where to start.

I would absolutely be interested in going somtime but need to figure out where to get affordable gear dont want to spend thousands of dollars but will spend some.

I would have mentioned the snow shows like the one in Novi, MI the first weekend in November but the RONA killed off those shows. Of course, does you no good now but remember the time I purchased my new Yamaha REMA jacket back in 03 when I snow checked my RX-1 and paid $300 only to see it at Novi the following fall for $150.

choko is pretty good stuff and resonably priced when going new. you could try craigs list or ebay for clear our/close out deals as well as used from guys getting out of the sport. boots and helmet are the 2 areas i try not to cheap out too much on as warm comfy feet make the day better. i like hjc helets as priced resonably well with heated visor in usa. here in canada i used to get raped on pricing for gear bad. getting better.
