07 Yamaha Phazer (holy crap I need help)

OK
The sled is now in the shop for all the updates, and recalls.
My plan now is to shim the skis, put a set of UP bushmans linkage bushings in the front end, and an OFT steering block when I get it back.

I also saw in the tech tips to put the 3 aluminum plates between the ski and the mounting plate creating a rocker ski, but Im not seeing anyone talking about that mod. Is it worth the effort? (not that it is much work)

The bushing on the skis are still tight, ill hold off on that one for now. (do not want the wife getting pissed)

Lastly people are talking about moving the ski spacers to the outside. Are you talking about the ones that slide snug inside the ski? Mine are on the outside, and dont look like they would fit on the inside of the ski.

Thanks

well the last few post we able to solve one issue for me....What my signature should be.

How are your A arm bushings? Mine in my 09 where getting very worn out. They are just plastic. With an 07 I would think your A arm bushings will need to be replaced.

A arn bushings are tight but along with the alignment they are topping my list of things to double check when i get the sled back. If the bushings are shot i was planning on geting the ones from Pioneer Performance (only because they are only a half hour from my house)

I did find the post on the ski spacers, and will be trying that.

I am curious if using the 3 shims to create rocker ski`s actually offers any improvement, not only for the phazer but my vector as well.

Thanks

Went to check my ball joints a while ago, jacked it up, and the whole A-arm moved forward and aft! Sweet, frame holes were egged out because i didn't catch it in time and it wore through the bushings into the frame. Which matched my spindles, that were also egged out and shot.
Like i've said, you guys with the new stuff, and all this great info here on TY, definately have a nice advantage of getting your sled right, before it costs you even more.
Mike.

knied1 please add your locationg to your profile thanks. .

Why?

i would think you should add your location to possibly meet some new riding buddies?????? maybe a guy right around the corner would be able to come over and help a brother out if you didnt quite understand what was typed???? i can tell you i offered kneid1 to meet us for a ride cuz i saw he lived in NY and might be able to help him set up his sled... i really wouldnt understand why anyone wouldnt want to put the city and state they live in, unless they just come on here to make usless wise cracks????? ;)!

RIGIDONE Absolutly DID invite me on a ride, that included an offer to help with my set up.

Gota give the guy credit. he was willing to interupt his own ride to help. WAY COOL.

You found a great site with tons of great people and tips.

who8that,
Spot on with the people and tips.....now i just need my sled back from the dealer so i can apply the info.

I put my location in, but not my exact town cause they're ain't many phazers here....as in why bother giving a theif directions...

But adding your general area is a good idea for the reasons rigidone said

First i appologize if i agrevate anyone, (especially since i am the one asking for the help) but can we please get back on subject?

I really am interesed in if anyone has tried the rocker ski mod, and what kind of results they recieved?

Thanks for all the input, but i feel a persons location including do and donts with location would be best in its own thread.

Thanks again

sorry bro,my fault getting off your topic.. im not really understanding what you mean by rocker ski mod, but im interested...give it a try if its not to much work and post some results..i think most of us have had to buy new skis to get the thing to stop darting and wondering around the trail...
