08 Apex LTX rear shock make and rebuilding?

My rear shock is dead. Is this a factory yamaha shock, or does someone else manufacture it? I would like to do rebuild this myself. So looking for info andparts on doing it. Not sure if it needs new seals, or a recharge, but either way I want to be able to do it myself. I do all my own mechanical work. I'd rather spend the money on the Tools I need and rarely use them, than need them and not have them or have to wait who knows how long for someone else to get it done.

Its a KYB.. you would be better off sending it to Cannondale27 on the site. He does them so cheap it hardly with it to buy the stuff.

it is not really worth all the investment to do shocks and only rebuild your own once every 2-4 years lots of different parts

all you have to do is call places to see how long turn around is most likely 5/10 days
