08 Nytro, Temp light coming on

does engine have to come all the way out, or just tear down the front end and steering to get the head off.

You can't get at the timing chain tesioner with the engine in the sled. Use an egg carton to keep track of the cam follower caps and valve ajustment shims.

Called Big moose, they said the same...head gasket. I may use it for the rest of the season, then fix it in spring. Only took a half pint to refill system, and some of that just flowed out of the open radiator while i let it warm up. Ran it with cap off for quite a while. Saw coolant circulating as it should have. Put cap on, ran for over 15 minutes at idle, never got warm. It didn't fill overflow any more than it was. I took cap off, carefully while it was warm, didn't seem to have had much pressure in it. Cap is a 1.1, could there be an issue with the cap as well?

I don't think nothing is wrong with cap.....haven't seen to many if any caps go bad......not saying they can't

I reallly appreciate all the help. just sucks that I'll have to pull the engine after just having it out at the shop to do the exchanger. If I had any idea, it would have been fixed at that time.

If it was me I would fix it now so you don't do anymore damage to it......two day or one long one....and be done ;)!
Just my .02

I plan on it. Friend who is going to do it with me is going to FLA this week. I have a 2012 Nytro also, so my son or friends won't have a sled to ride....I'll tear it down, clean and get oxidation off everything, replace bushings on front end and skiis. have to complete within a few weeks in order to. be able to test it well. Just in time to put it away.
