eightpilot said:Ever since last year when I bought my nytro new it has had a slight hesitation when applying full throttle from a slow speed. It was 60 degrees that day and I just kind of wrote it of. Yesterday I took it out and rode it at 0 degrees and notice that same hesitation every once in awhile when pinning the throttle out of a slow corner. Is this the EBR system doing this or is it a fuel mapping issue with the FI system? Any ideas?? Thanks

Any more info on this mine does the samething, I have 500mi on it now. It really sucks when you go to jump off a snow drift and it spits and sputters and you do a nose dive. No new sled should do this, I switched to yamaha because everything you read about them says they run so good, I don't call a hesitation every 3rd time you hit the gas running good! I do love the sled, if I can get this problem fixed I will never go back to a 2 stroke. Thanks for any help!

Haven't figured it out yet... Everyone keeps saying its the EBR system, but it happen when cruising at 40mph and then accelerating from there. The EBR system shouldn't be involved at that rpm. I do notice that it does seem to happen worse in deep snow with the track under a heavy load. This leads me to the clutching as some people have suggested. My belt is sitting low in the secondary and is brand new measuring in at over 34mm in width. I will start there with adding shims to the secondary and see if a tighter deflection will help some. I am at a loss here...

I have a appt. with the dealer next week but I think it is going to be a waste of time. I agree with you on the ebr system mine does it from a dead stop and when cruising when you pin it. Some people say when you let off the gas just don't let off all the way but I'm not letting off at all just stabbing the throttle and it does it, anyway you should not have to change the way you have always rode to make the sled run right. Keep us posted on what you find out and I will do the same. Thanks

Nytro Hesitation
I would adjust the CO slightly and see if that helps. I built a custom header and slip on muffler on my 08 MTX and it started hesitating. Lean condition I assumed so I began fiddling with the CO settings and got rid of it. I can't remember where I ended up but I think it was somewhere around +10.

- Yamaha Viper XTX LE Mcx Turbo.
Yamaha Sidewinder XTX LE Maptune stage 3 fastspool.
Almost every Nytro have that kint of hesitation you guys talking about, its even gets worse by installing a header o any kind of exhaust,or more noticable.
When i install the MCX Turbo 190hp kit my sled stopt doing that for the fist time. Now i can pull full trottel and my Nytro just blows out to 8800rpm at ONCE!!! just unbeliveble power right away, and absolutly no turbolag.

Try running some non-oxygenated (no ethanol) premium gas in the sled on your next ride. It may have been a coincidence, but this seemed to clear up the hesitation problem for me. Now I generally have a mixture of premium and regular in the tank just to cut the ethanol content.

I got an increase in the hesitation after I ran it bone dry the other night.
The next day it was acting up more than usual.
I wonder if I gunked up the fuel injectors some.
I've just put in a little injector cleaner for now.
Time will tell.

I added a PCIII and my hesitation is gone now.

Ulmers K&N filter kit, CR10ek's, and a Ultra Q exhaust. The map I don't know it was set up by Allen at Ulmer's. But the hesitation is gone and it rips now.

Def. a lean condition man mine does it and does it worse when its colder out. I have a super q and cr10's but my elevation is only 800 ft(lean)...Its like when you pin it it will pop and jerk. I'm going to try the co deal on my next day off before I spend the cash on a pc for a stock sled. Clutching will help too because I was just playing with my stock clutching the other day and threw some smaller rollers in it and it didn't do it at all..

How do you adjust the CO setting? I don't even know what that is....
