Should there be any free play on the throttle? I know there is some play @ the pivot point of the throttle. I was wondering if I should zero out the cable side of the throttle. Basically I just want to see if I remove the 1/8" of play will help @ WOT?

there should be play in the throttle cable, roughly 2-3mm. it should b fine. as long as u never have to throtle it a little to start it

Some free-play is needed so the throttle doesn't engage when the bars are turned. As long as there is still a gap between the bars and flipper you're not missing any cable pull at WOT. You can't crank these up to 11.

thanks for the help. I know my bud with a 1200 poo brought his throttle to zero and it seemed to help. For right now I still have him in a drag race from start to finish. he is installing a pro-line clutch soon??? My clutching is still stock. I still haven't seen a clutch kit that is doing much better then stock?? On perfect conditions in Maine 2 weeks ago I was reading 112 on the speedo while racing him on his 1200. I wish I had my GPS with me? But I have seen 108 on my GPS last year.
