For those of you who have extended your Apex to 128" what have you done to prevent your snowflap from getting sucked in by the track/studs? I bent out my aluminum supporting plate for the stock '06 flap as much as possible but wan't enough and it got chewed up. Now, I just completed installing a new style-rigid flap but can not bend back the aluminum support plate like with the old style flap. Otherwise, it sticks almost straight out.
Do I need to trim the aluminum support plate? I don't want to go to a shorter 12" flap as it appears not to kick up enough snow to the heat exchanger in low snow conditions..

For 128 you should add a tunnel extension as you are sticking out 3.5" too far.
