Anyone else had the 12V DC outlet installed by the dealer. It's not working as I suspect snow got in there and blew the fuse. I'm trying to locate the fuse.
How do I get the blue plastic panels around the gas tank and head lamp off? Do I have to take the headlamp off to take those little plastic panels off so I can find the inline fuse???

I installed my own so I am not 100% sure but all the other fuses and relays are right by the battery.I cant imagine that they would put this one somewhere else.

So what's the trick to get those blue plastic panels off so I can trace the wiring?

You will have to remove the headlight to get at some of bolts. When you put it back on leave the little clips out of the adjuster screws for headlight. That way when you do oil change you can leave the blue panels on.Start by pulling up the headlight bezel(black) just give it a good yank upwards then taking of the upper side blue ones and go from there.Use Blue Loctite when putting it all back together.
I would just hook up a testlight to outlet and start checking/replacing fuses and switching relays. It still runs right?

The machine still runs. I just want to get the 12V DC outlet working for my heated visor.
