Hello all
My dad got a new 16 MTX 141" 2.25" lug viper. He is having a clunk noise in the right side when you decellerate after going 40+ it sounds like the track is hitting the tunnel? I looked at it and his track is rubbing on the left side of the tunnel.
I've attempted to align the track thinking this is the cause but I can not get the dang thing to adjust correctly.
Any tips on this issue?
Thanks

This is in the Viper FAQ section. Since you have the 141” skid I would start here:

If this doesn’t lead you in the right direction my next question would be to define “new”. If it is 0 miles and under warranty I would take it back to the dealer. If it is a used sled that is new to your dad I would look for something that has bent within the rear suspension or a failure in the rear axle trihub. I would also verify that the drive sprockets are correctly positioned. Let us know what you find.

They are hard to align. I never got mine to be perfect. Was told to get it close and go with it. As long as it is not touching rails it can float side to side a little. Have heard of folks counting threads to get perfect.

Something else to check , check to see if the rails are hitting the drivers !
