Ok so im confused here I went to start the sled yesterday and all it did was crank and crank and no start so I figured it's been sitting for awhile I will put a bit of fuel in the carbs it only burns what I put in carbs I also blew in the vent tube to help push air though still nothing, I poked around and noticed I have fuel from the tank linnes to the pumps but nothing coming out the pumps to the bottom of the carbs.

What is or can be the cause of this??

with the line off of the pumps, when you pressurize it through the vent line, does gas come out of the outlets on the pumps?

No fuel comes out of outlets when pressurizing through the vent I even tried putting original pumps back on still nothing,

have you tried with turning the engine over while they are disconnected?

I have fuel to the pumps but seems nothing is going through the pumps to the outlet side of pumps, I've disconnected the outlet side and crank the engine over there's no fuel coming out of outlet side at all. I removed the vacuum hose going to the pumps and I do have a pulse when turning the engine over.

Take the feed lines off from the pump to carb, use a small funnel to pour gas in the lines.reattach, then using a spray bottle, remove airbox cover &spray some fuel into carb throats, reinstall airbox cover&crank engine.it should start&prime system.mine has always been similar to this after setting a long time&will just turn over, over&never fire without prepriming as described above

I've tried pouring fuel into the feed lines to the carbs maybe I just didn't poor enough in there, this is something that I will give a shot after work to see if it works.

Considering what you have done, I'm not sure it's an issue with the pumps not being primed. If it comes to it, you can purchase rebuild kits for these fuel pumps for $10 each as I rebuilt the pumps on my 03 RX-1 along with rebuilding the carbs.

As I mentioned at the beginning it's doing the same thing with with both sets of pumps, the sled ran when I parked, but I noticed a bit of a hard start issue if it's sat for a few days so I decided to put new pumps, the issue that I'm having now is the same with both pumps new and old lol, maybe it is a priming issue but I've never had this happen with any of my other RX 1

I also forgot to mention the carbs were cleaned and synchronized.

Yeah it seems they pick up fuel really slow, sometimes ive had to leave the airbox cover off &keep spraying fuel in to get it running good&steady

When was sled last running correctly?assuming if carbs were synched it was running fine, was it stored with ethanol fuel?I have found up here in maine the ethanol fuel goes bad in two months time to the point that an engine won't run on it.

Sled ran great, parked it in garage in March until November and just went to go over everything two weeks ago and no start like mentioned it would just have a hard start once and awhile if it sat for days not running.

Was it stored with fuel in it?if so what type of fuel?I know you said carbs were cleaned, when was this?

It was stored with a quarter tank of premium fuel non ethanol, carbs were cleaned and gone over maybe a month ago put it back together couple days ago went to start it and no fuel going through the pumps

Since you've replaced the fuel pumps and are sure they are working, what happens when you disconnect the fuel lines going to the pumps and lightly pressurize the fuel tank? Does fuel come out the fuel lines? I know you did a similar test where you disconnected the fuel lines coming out of the pumps and no fuel came out pump outlets but just to eliminate the pumps, I'd be curious if the two fuel filters inside the tank are plugged and/or need replaced. Although I did replace mine when rebuilding the pumps and carbs, I only did so because I wanted to replace everything from the tank to the carbs and did not have an issue with fuel being plugged by the filters but might be something to check.
