my 2006 nytro will spin half of a rotation we didn't spin it backwards but the last time it ran it backfired through the carbs and when you spin the primary clutch it will spin half of a rotation and then stop and klunk but it doesn't sound like it's in the motor it's sounds like it's in the clutch area. the motor spins over and every thing and we replaced the starter and pulled it out enough to spin the motor freely and it didn't make a difference all help is appreciated. thanks

pop the clutch off and check for damage on the rear of it.
if it still will not turn over, might be time for a bore scope or to pull the head as it might have jumped a tooth in the timing as there was an update to the timing chain tensioner for those sleds.
