Hello all, 15,000 klm's, sled threw out p30 code, shut down, brass colour shaving's in oil and cut open oil filter, thoughts would be appreciated, thanks

Code 30: Oil pressure sensor or circuit senses low engine oil pressure. ECU turns off main relay and stops engine.
sounds like tear down or engine replacement time. might get lucky and it was only the starter gear bush/counter gear issue and the pump sheared off the drive from debris. 07 where known to have this issue.

Thanks fall project
It’s maybe a long shot but it’s also possible the sensor is bad. I had one go bad on mine. The shavings are not good though need to find source.

hello all, so getting to that p30 code. opened up motor, brass pieces in pan, timing chain side connecting rod bearings pretty much gone, clutch side seems good, no play, would anyone know diameter of crank journals? chewed one is about a thousand less than good side, and what would brass pieces be in oil?

most likely the remains of a bushing or thrust washer.
