Took the sled out after a 200km trip in nothing but powder and halfway down the trail the next day I seen my speedo was frozen at a some point in my trip. It worked for the first 15mins then quit. Five minutes later it was working again and then it froze up at some other speed. The speed, rpm, time, and all other guages had a display but just failed to function. Any idea what this may have been? After sitting at our lodge almost 20 miles away, one hour after that I was on my way and the speedo never acted up at all. Anyone else have this issue?

If the connector to the gage is not loose, you probably just gave your wiring a bath. Never heard of one "freezing" up though. Possibly one of the connectors in the harness is wet?? Maybe down by the ECU? Maybe a bit of drying out is in order, with a heatgun on individual connectors one at a time to find the culprit. Then, put some dielectric on the perpetrator.

Yeah I was thinking something may have got wet since we had an extremely warm day after all this powder riding. Do you think the wiring could be rubbing on the frame by the ECU under the airbox? I had my radiator fan shorting out cause it was rubbing against the sharp part of the frame.

After you dry things out and if the problem still persists, then maybe check the wiring out. Chaffing down by the ECU is not prevalent with later models.
