Just finished changing jack shaft and drive shaft bearings. Put chain case back together and tried to turn track and does not turn forward, but does turn in reverse. Took everything apart and put back together, same thing. Will not turn by hand forward, but shift to reverse and will turn backward by hand. What am I missing? Kind of banging my head against a wall now. Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you get the shift fork in the grove on the outer bottom gear?

Yes I believe I did. Seems like the small reverse gear is sitting in to far and binding when I took it apart again. Is there only supposed to be two washers on the backside of the two small gears(reverse gears I believe) against the back side of the chain case? It looks like if I take a washer out it will bind up against the bolts that hold the shaft for the small reverse gears.

One washer in the inside , one on the outside.
