I would BET my bottom dollar that the new nytros and apexs for 08 have same garbage heater setup that we had last season....still cant believe yammie wont make this right...

Dan

I've got 1800kms so far on my new '08 APEX and handwarmers are ok for days below -10 celcius other wise that you freeze your hands, they don't get half as warm compared to my '05 RX1, my buddy and I where riding 1 night at -27 celcius and I had to stop every so often to warm my hands on the rear exhaust and his warmers where MUCH warmer than mine, he was laughing at me!

The answer to your question is NO!, '08 are not any better!!! I'm kind of disappointed, I woiuld of thought YAM would of fixed this problem by now.

I reported to my dealer and he wants to take a OHMS test and see if its witin SPEC...whatever!!!

So DAN any suggestions...I was thinking of insulatting the bars with srayfoam, filling the ends at the grips, the other thing I thought of doing is running a #12 or 14 wire direct from the battery to the handwarmers for better amperage with a inline relay to shut power off when ignition is turned off.

you need the 06 bars for your sled...then you will be hotter then hell like mine is....

07 Apex GT.
Installed a set of 06 take-off bars and plugged them in. Problem solved. Easy as that.
Rode 250 miles in below zero temps (F) and never had to turn them past half. Old bars were not effective below 15-20 degrees.

Thanks DAN

I'll see what my dealer will come up with, he says YAM was working on something??? it better be good or he'll have to find me '06 BARS LOL!
