2008 Sleds...Are Here?????

2009 - 170+ HP 4cylinder 800ccm in whatever chassis outrevving anything seen so far on the snow. I'll buy it right away to replace my 2005 RX-1. Guess what, I can be daydreaming on this one, but it may well come true.

This post is about new YAMAHA sleds. If anyone has found out anything and if a 120cc (kids sled) has finally made it in the line-up.

Let's clear up something that really bugs me - your dealer doesn't know anything about next year's sleds before you do! Yamaha doesn't even tell their DSM's (District Sales Managers) until about 2 days before the world release which in recent years has been about the same time the internet goes live.

If you can search back to this time last year you see all of the rumours about the Phazer and what the dealers said it was are 99% wrong. If there was one that was correct it was a likely a good guess.

Next year's sleds will be debuted early by watching what Robbie's riding but this will only be a blimp of what may or may not actually be produced. So, please don't be so naive to believe what your dealer says, they are reading posts here or guessing.

Gents and Ladies, go to Max Sled and take a look at the totally redesigned racer that Yamaha fielded at the last outing. If history repeats itself this is probably the new Yamaha, at least visually. Remember the last racer that became the Viper?

The front of race sleds look like they would be production pieces. Might be a bit , but I think I like the look.

Now add a 130HP EFI tripple and 500LB dry weight and I think you will have winner!
