Apologies if I’ve messed up this post. Rookie error.

I’ve gor a 2008 Vector that I’m putting up for sale. Never gave me any trouble till now. First could get it to turn over consistently and after a week hunched over in the back of my truck and 2 trips to the dealer we finally chased it to a bad connection between the main fuse and the relay. That problem is now solved.

While it was in the shop they put in new plugs and upped the idle a bit. Sled started fine, ran around the field out back of their shop and ran up into my truck no issues.

Brought it home (about 10k in my truck). Started it the next day and although it started it really didn’t want to run. I didn’t have time for it that day so I left it till the next day.

Now it won’t start. It turns over no problem and sounds like it wants to catch but just won’t quite.

I played with the idle knob to no avail. It was running perfectly 2 days ago at the dealer. All I did was bring it home and now this.

Any ideas. I’m no mechanic but I’m capable of doing the basics.

Any help would be appreciated.

Probably fouled the plugs. They don't like to started and then shut down without being warmed up. Maybe old gas too?

I am in no way implying you aren't capable, but you are applying full choke when trying to start the sled stone cold, correct? Are all the float bowls drains tight? Any noticeable fuel leak? And as mentioned above, the plugs could be fouled. Maybe dealer didn't tighten all the plugs and/or get the plug boots on correctly? Maybe the engine harness connectors didn't snap back into place correctly on one or more coil pack? Also, make sure the fuel pump pulse lines are still in place (only two, even though it's a 3 cyl).

I've owned a 2008 Vector since new. In my own personal experience; when you have to start adjusting idle, it's a good sign the carbs need synced.

Thanks for the suggestions. Turns out one of the three plugs was fouled. All 3 plugs are new and I did check the gap on the fouled one and it was in spec but I had one more new one so I gapped it and put it in and so far at least the sled seems fine now. I think that’s the first time I’ve ever fouled a plug in this sled. My 78 Kawasaki used to do it routinely but I’d forgotten the joy of it with the Vector.

I didn’t get a chance to start the sled (raining) but I’ll give it a shot tomorrow to be sure it’s behaving now. Then maybe I can se;; it finally.

Thanks again for the help.
