I am new and there might be post if so please tell me where

I have a 2008 apex 40th anniversary got it end of last year was working good but did see when I turn on key dash wouldn't do anything Intel the sled started parked it for summer in shed has been started once a every 4 weeks have waited for light to go out and run for like a min more it was not started for 5 weeks and went out to start it open choke and turn it over it didn't start right up after few seconds I
Stop waited 2 min and try Agian and nothing at all try to boost it nothing have check kill switch and it is off but get nothing at all when u turn key batter shows 12.5 at the boost cable on side did try boosting it and nothing

There are a few things to check. You could have a main fuse that has blown. These are located down under the airbox beside the battery. Could be the ground block issue some sleds had. Kill switch could be malfunctioning.
Ign switch could be faulty. Bad connection at the starter solenoid. Time to break out the test light and ohm meter and start checking these items.
What kind of Apex do you have that has a choke???? :dunno:

The one in profile pic it is a 40th anniversary

there is no choke on an apex they are all FI.

image.jpeg I know there is choke on left bar and papers to it says apex and it the sled my profile picture 40th anniversary

did someone put a rx1 engine in there? every apex built has the 150 genesis FI motor and the refined it further in 2011.

I really don't know it's my first 4 stoke so I don't know much about it

But what gets me after all videos I see when u turn on the key the gauges turn on this never did Intel it started

You have a Vector, my guess the starter is bad.

Could it be something else where dash wouldn't work Intel it was started ?

OK. So its a Vector. The gauges are dead until it starts up. That is normal. You could have a bad starter as mentioned above or a bad starter relay.

Going to try to get at it this weekend working all week

Mike, the carb sleds will lose prime from fuel evaporation after a few weeks of sitting, especially this time of year; I'm guessing this is one of your problems. Remove one fuel line from the fuel pumps, insert a small funnel. Pour fuel in the funnel and wait for it to go down. Keep doing this until it stops taking fuel; it will fill all three carbs, as they're all inter-connected at the float bowls. Some guys even clamp the gas tank vent shut and blow compressed air into the gas tank to prime. Fuel pumps are on the left side of the sled under the key switch panel and headlight pod.

Your no crank problem is probably related to cranking and cranking from trying to start the sled with all the fuel evaporated out of the carbs. You could have either burned up the starter or blew a fuse; hopefully the later. It could be a ground block or the starter solenoid cable next to the battery as well. Your battery could be shot from the frequent starting and no charging too!

My suggestion is sit down and read your owners manual front to back. Take all the panels off the sled and become familiar with how it's put together. The only way to learn about your ride is to work on it.

Of course, asking on this site is a good start as well! ;)!
