2008 venture questions?

This is my first post and first Yamaha sled I have ever owned. I'm usually a Polaris guy but I came across a good deal on a 2008 Yamaha venture so I bought it. I was wanting a 2 up sled and I wanted something very reliable cause it will either be my wife or daughter riding along. Couple questions.

I wanna order a repair manual for the sled but I can only find one for a 2009 venture. How much different are they?

How do I tell if I have just a RS model or a RS GT model? The sled did not come with a owners manual.

I usually do as much wrenching on sleds as I can cause I'm not the type of person to take things in and pay for mechanics to do it. I know the exhaust donuts are out. Should I replace with the copper ones or up grade to the flange type exhaust?

That looks like the GT model as the color and reservoir shocks are a dead give away. 2009 has two models, one like your's, and an updated higher priced unit with many differences, including the body style and a larger EFI engine. I recommend getting the manual for your year.

I actually got a owners manual right off the Yamaha web site but call me old school it's a PDF. I would rather have a paper copy.
