We've seen the new FX chassis in every picture of Yamaha's snow cross sled. So, the production models are not much of a suprise. They did keep the 120HP RS chassis and models for at least another year. What happened to all the rumors about a new Apex with increased horsepower? Just Rumors! No 180-190 hp R-1 motor stuffed into an Apex, No factory turbo stuffed into an Apex, just a few sleds painted red, white, and black, like they did 40 years ago, Happy Anniversary!!!!

They sure were quick to post the weights last season with the Phazer.
Not this year?
What is the secret?

Sandy why are you still using my personal pic for your avatar even after I pm'd you asking you to change it?
I had this as my avatar and you copied it.
It was not a pic from Yamaha.
Its my sled on Payne Lake when myself and BA APEX were doing radar runs.

I must say that the release was a bit anticlimatic.
136" in the FX chassis and more HP in the Apex line is what I would have liked to have seen as well.
I'm glad that Yamaha didn't reintroduce the Exciter name.

Good grief guys the Apex is only 2 years old now... You can't expect them to reinvent the wheel every year. It's a solid sled, and when set up right will run with the big dogs of every brand.
