2009 FX Nytro RTX SE Still Wet Foot!!

Some of you guys need to be careful, some of the posts are border line bashing.....

I put 460 KM on in the last month, all in the mountains, and my feet have always been dry.
I can feel the handwarmers, but they have about 1/3 the power of the thumb warmer.

Another solution is buy some quality boots and bibs. You spent 10 grand on the sled so now its time to get rid of the Walmart boots and snow pants.

Trukke Boots, FXR Adrenaline Gear, and KLIM Gloves, I never knew my gear was from Walmart? MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I have the klim boots and for the first time i got the
wet left foot with the klims
hot grips on high all the time with gauntlets.
there should be some updates.
yamaha is going to lose the momentum that they have created with the 4strokes

I have an 08 Nytro and to stop the water from coming through the left side vent above my boot I used prefilter and that stopped it. Now when I'm riding through 3 feet of powder all day and having a blast in it, my boot still gets soaked because of snow coming from the side and onto my boot. I'm just glad I live in Alaska where it's not all nice groomed trails and we get out in the real deep stuff. No noise ordinances and private property to watch out for. We just ride however we want!

The wet left boot was really getting me last year. I sealed up the gaps and I still got wet. I installed the plate, 75 miles later and I rode in rain with dry feet!!! And, I'm using the same riding gear as last season as well! So for all you guys wondering, it's not your boots or your bibs, it's the sled!!

08 here. bought the 09 plate for it and no more wet foot for me in 150 miles. same gear as last year. ran in some powder also....i'll ride a few more times before i believe that this plate actually did the job

Ok...I'll be the moron here and ask the question...What plate? I have a new 2010rtx that i'm currently breaking in and if there is a plate that will help keep my feet dry i want it...Someone post a pic of one or where to get it... :4STroke:

Yours should already have the plate as I'm 99% sure they are standard issue now. It is located below the secondary.

I have an 08, installed the plate, still had wet feet. i took the seat off and used gasket material that i got at Canadian Tire. I think it was for windows or patio doors. I used material thick enough that when the seat went back on, it compressed the gasket and made a good seal. I then took duct tape and sealed off the area in front off and above your left foot while sitting on the sled. I have not had wet foot syndrome since then. Hope this helps.

hey JDS1000, now your complaining, why don't give the guy a break, he just asking for some help on an issue he should not have.

All this wet boot and cold hands stuff is nothing new and its not just with Yamaha. This stuff started with the Rev. The Rev also had the wet left boot problem and not only cold hands but cold everything. These are results from rider forward sleds. The more forward you are the more into the elements you are and also with these rider forward sleds you are closer to the engine and clutch. Thus you will feel the heat from the engine and the melting snow will end up on your legs. I also get a kick out of the guys who say that their sleds feel front heavy and dart when off the throttle! Well guess what, not only is your engine over the ski's but now so is your fat azz!! We all want rider forward sleds but We don't want to deal with the drawbacks of these sleds and yes there are drawbacks. Sorry if I'm not sypathetic but all this whining about little stupid stuff gets really old after reading it a thousand times.

So stop reading it a thousand times? The guy was simply looking for some help. If you dont have any to offer and are just going to come on and bash him for looking for a little guidance on a forum then maybe you should stay off the forum.... ;):D
