My sled only has 300 km on it and was running fine till we had a few nights of -30 degree celcius weather. At first it would turn over and the battery was providing power but now all I hear is the relay clicking when I turn the key to start. Does it sound like a weak battery or is the fuel relay some how frozen and how do you remove it?

Charge the batt fully turn key you should hear fuel pump if not it could be the relay

Sounds like your start relay. If you take off the left side cowl there are 3 relays near your knee area. The one furthest to the right is the start relay. Take it out and warm it up in your hands then try plugging it back in and starting the sled.

The relay is prone to getting moisture in it and unless you have a bunch of long runs it won't get warm enough for the water to dry up. I carry a spare relay with me now just in case.

I boosted the battery and left the charger on it for a few hours and it started and ran fine. Went to start it tonight and all I heard was buzzing and the starting motor or relay clicking????????

To me it sounds like a bad battery. The clicking is the same thing my truck did when the battery was shot. If you can pull the battery and get it bench tested it would be an easy starting point.

Sounds like a battery. If you try to boost it and it starts then that is the problem. Not completly unheard of to get a bad battery at 300. After 25 years as an auto mechanic I have learned not to assume something is good.

I boost it and it runs fine. I am figuring that since it was a 2 year old model that was sitting in a crate unsold for a couple of years the battery just gave out. The dealer told me they charged the battery when I picked it up. Worst thing is the earliest they will take the sled in for battery replacement is Jan 31. I would do it myself but I live in Labrador City in an apartment complex. I will let the dealer do the hard work since it's under warranty. Also when I am driving and release the throttle, should the clutch be sqealing? I have 400 km on my sled and I am on my second belt. They wear from the outside in.

Sounds like something is wrong. You shouldn't be on the second belt already.
