Just installed the 2 speed setup in the apex that I bought from heelclicker and just wanted to discuss results so far. I found that with the setup that had been recommended with the white spring, 1 bolt in the shoulder and the center, that the sled kept reving above peak rpm. So I added 1 washer to the shoulder and my peak rpm is correct now although when you pin it, It is not climbing in rpm, it over revs and then comes back to peak. What factory yamaha springs have you guys been using in the 2 speed to bring down engagement? I think it will help fix the over rev, issue. Thanks guys.

When you say White spring, whos spring is it and what are the rates? Yamaha makes a white spring, but its a secondary spring.
Regarding your over rev problem, you dont have enough weight in the heel portion of the weights. Add weight there, which will lower engagement a tad, then you may have to take some out of the tip to get proper peak RPM. I guess I should have asked, are they Drag-N-Fly weighs? Lots of guys run the stock primary spring (yellow-silver-yellow) when using aftermarket weights.

thats correct...his white and in fact all the heelclicker springs will to that to some degree..
I would look at some yam factory springs and start tuning from there...you will get more of what your after..
