2011 Apex xtx rpm

Hi I am new to 4-stroke sleds I got a 2011 apex xtx last week I only have about 100 miles on it and I wanted to know if the rpm is held back during brake in??? i only get about 9500-9800 103mph on speedo. will it rev out after break in?
or should i take it in

Break it in hard. You should see 10,500 & more but it will take 1000 miles at least.

Run it like you stole it. You won't hurt it. Just let it warm up first.

I got same sled and at first it would not rev past10,000 now i have 1,400 mi on it and the rpms are at 10,700 all the time . Give it time and it will wake up .

Went out today 110mph (speedo) at close to 10000rpm. Got beat by a 96 mach Z w/pipes I killed him out of the hole then he got me in the mid on top I might have had a bit but ran out of lake. I will try him again when it wakes up (I am only at 78 miles)

6 of my buds have piped ported mach Z,s...94-97,s. I can run toe to toe but mine is yamacharged.
