haven't found any info on this subject so figured i'd make a post. Has anyone tried to put and exhaust on the 2011+ apex? probably not the first thing anyone wants to do to a 12000 sled but if one was wanting to put an excell pipe on the apex would it be more of a hassle trying to remove the EXUP vavle and having the sled still run properly?
Thanks,
Nick

The exup is a huge performance improvement why would anyone want to remove it...Hauck has a silencer for the sled and D&D either has one or is working on it as well.....
Because it is inevitable it will crack and being titanium will be difficult to maintain and unaffordable to replace. It is a good idea to have a replacement system in mind before buying a 2011/2012.

i just figured it was a more of a pain than anything, not being able to stud the short tracks and such, i've also heard a few sleds having starting issues with the cable is out of adjustment. i'd think that by eliminating it that's one less thing to not have to worry about.

Who said you can't stud the 11 and 12 128's? I have 204 in my 12 and see no reason that there will be a problem, just put 4 mm spacer in the tunnel protector, with locktite on nut's and keep your track tight. And i think the recomendation is not longer than 1.375" stud's. I would not touch the exhaust!!!! The 11 and 12 Apex's are very touchy, they run awesome with the Exup. Why flock it up? There are other mod's that are proven to make more power with out issue's and our trail system's will be better off with out the noise!
