So changing over my mtx to have wider a-arms but keeping the 144" track making it more of a trail sled. Track isnt a 2' lug more like a 1.25" lug. Was wondering if i should change that sprocket to a 18t instead of the 17t before i start tearing this down and get into it. Suggestions welcome Thanks in advance!

FWIW, when I purchased my 18 XTX, you could only get it with the 1.75" track. When I replaced it with a 1.25" track like you could get on the 17 XTX, I opted to also revert back to the larger drive sprockets; didn't want to sacrifice the gearing difference running the smaller drive sprocket.

for fuel economy for trail riding, i would make sure it was geared to xtx specs.
