2011 XTX vs. SE - Which would you buy?

So, I'm looking for another Apex, I currently own a 2011 XTX and love it (other than the HYFAX ISSUE) but thinking about gettting a used 2011 SE. Who has driven/ owned both? How would you compare them on the trail (I am a 98% trail rider) This sled would be for my wife or son to use if I like my XTX better. I am 300 lbs w/ gear on, thanks.

Megafloat scares me, not the love I would expect from an alternative to the constant bottom outs the Mono produces. I have also heard problems about the XTX skid on the trail so who knows. The type of rider you are is also going to play a big role- and something everyone is going to ask about.

My wife owns a 11 Apex I had a 10 Nytro just traded for a 12 Apex xtx because I loved her Apex but still want to play. Her Apex still trail rides better but we both have the perfect sled for how we ride. When I stop playing its Apex all the way. You can ride these sleds all day super slow or super fast and a great ride!

SE is the best trail riding sled as well as the most comfortable I've ever owned. 3200 miles and I have had no issue with the Mega. Although, I'm not a hard rider. Also, changing air pressures is much more my style than using those silly wrenches. That's not my idea of easy when it comes to changing before, during, or after a ride. The air shocks are simple at any time.

SE is super comfortable, as well as very smooth riding. I'd get the SE, you will have one of each and can always switch back and forth i would assume.
