I am trying to figure out a set up to raise my handlebars over the 2" allowed by the throttle cable. Does anyone know where I can find an extended throttle cable for the 2012 Apex and newer? I can find tons for the 2010 and older but nothing newer.

I'm 5" over stock with the stock cable, brake line and wiring. It CAN be done. I re routed everything. Eliminated most of the curves in the throttle and brake. Did the exact same thing to my Attak. I have app. 14,000 between the 2 sleds with this setup and zero issues.

Thanks. I did just reroute everything yesterday and it appears I can go at least 4". I'm 6'4" tall so I need to raise things. Just got my seat back from WRP and love it.
Does your sled look ridiculous with 5" over stock? I don't want this thing to look stupid but I need the height.......

I'm 6'3" and also have the WRP seat. And yeah, I've had a few comments lol. BUT, everyone who's ridden it likes the position their hands are in while riding it. Perfect when seated or standing. I'll try and get good picture sometime later today.I'm using a Lake Effects riser and it's a beautiful looking piece. Even has my screen name etched in the top piece.

I would love to see your pics. I am ordering the lake effect risers on Monday. I see online only black and polished are available for colors. To get the colored ones, do you have to contact them directly??

Any reroute tricks or things to watch out for in getting the slack out of the stock throttle cable? I haven't looked yet..is there any particular path to take or just go around stuff?I'm 5" over stock with the stock cable, brake line and wiring. It CAN be done. I re routed everything. Eliminated most of the curves in the throttle and brake.

Hey Viper Man. I am confused as to how you would mount the Lakeffect riser block to the base plate of the Apex. See the picture as I don't see how this would mount to the treaded base plate?

Caveman, you must route the cable under the handlebar and let it run free up to the throttle block. I'll have pictures for everyone a sap. Dauminator, you must purchase the tee pivot adapter. Bolts to flat plate in place of the stock riser. I'll get a closeup of that for you.

Nevermind. I see you need a pivot adapter mounted to the plate. I still would like to see Pictures of how your Apex looks with these risers.Hey Viper Man. Looks great. Does that height really interfere with your line of sight out the windshield seeing the trail? Interfere with seeing your speedo?

Not to the trail, but it does block the speedo some. Bars are above the cutouts of the stock windshield. I added the Nytro style hand guards to block the wind. With those and the Yamaheater with a Boost, hands stay toasty.
