2012 nytro xtx any issues.

Just purchased a 2012 nytro xtx used with about 1100 miles. Is there any issues with this year? Do the shocks need revalved? Does have tuner skis so that's a plus.

I plan on revalving shocks, clutch kit, New muffler, and probably more idler wheels for suspension. Few other mods.

Dude get over it.......the engines are AWESOME ,just need to take care of them

I would put some Schmidt brothers wheels or excell wheels on they are bigger and help the hyrax wear.....other than that sky is the limit

Think most nytro owners would disagree with this.^^^


As for issues to address: 1. I would get a mountaintech skidplate if you ever ride off trail. stock plate is basically worthless.
2. Gusset the subframe cause you will bend it eventually. (look up grizztracks he sells a gusset kit)
3. Ride it before you spend money on revalving. How would you know if the revalve was worth doing and if it helped if you dont know how it rides in stock form.
4. Ride it and see if you like how it steers. If you dont like the sweep of the bars and want more of a push pull feel then get the OFT steering relocator. I have it and love it.
5. Extra wheels? This I'm not sure whether it's worth it or not yet(many here will disagree with this). My slides have 1140 miles so far with no added wheels. My slides wore down alot over first 3-400 miles and then stopped wearing. So I'm not adding wheels just yet. Figured I'd go through one set of slides before adding any, at least this way I'll know where adding wheels will help.

ahhhh good stuff! The engines are the best part, ive beat the crap out of mine for almost 7000 miles with 1000 of them modded, zero issues. Love it!!! Sucks yours grenaded though i wouldnt be happy either

Sorry yeah we kinda got sidetracked there......

I think the shocks and skid issues were fixed/updated in 2011 on the xtx.
Other then that your mods look right on par but you should remove your maybe after the relocator! Should be the first thing you do! Good luck and have fun

Just did 130 miles on my '12 XTX on mostly icy trails. This morning I went all in and changed my suspension setup to the "soft and low" approach. WOW. Still needs better skis and maybe some studs but what a difference when you lower the center of gravity. Motor....flawless. The only way it would be better is if the German's made it!

I love the engine! It is widely considered one of if not the best motor in the industry
