Hi everyone, my 2013 nytro has blown 2 handwarmer heater elements both on the right hand side. (Throttle side). Just wondering if this is a fluke and got 2 bad heater elements or if this is a reacuring problem with nytro's and if there is a fix out there for this.
Thanks in advance.

seems Yamaha has given the 2013 more juice to the grips than previous years, maybe the Yamaha elements just cant take it?
I switched to RSI and have the yamaheater and mine are good so far, maybe try that route? Make sure there are zero kinks when installing. Be interesting to see where the old ones burnt out if it was where a kink was.

I lost my right side just under 1000mi. luckily under warranty. I think they heat up great so im guessing they are pushing more juice than past models

Had to take mine to a local dealer (not were I bought) as both elements were done and I didn't have time to fix before a big ride .... Got hosed for $400 because they wouldn't cover it because I had the yamaheater on..... Then they put RSI on and the one bar end has 1/4 inch extra grip hanging and the other 1/2 inch extra.... Any ideas how to fix the grip.... Let's just say I am not welcome back at that dealer lol

I understand not covering the repair due to the modification; however, the dealer should stand behind their work and it sounds like you have a workmanship issue. Did the dealer use the Yamaha grips with the rivets in the top and bottom of the grip? If so, I don't see how there could be any extra hanging as those all match up pretty tightly. Remember this old saying: "you catch more flies with honey than vinegar".
