I went to the 2013 Sneak Peak here in Fargo last night. As dissapointed as I was with any representation from Yamaha in their booth, I totally am in love with the new 2013 Yamaha Blue used on the Vector and Venture!!

That totally blows away that light blue used on the 2012. As much as I will always bleed the true Yamaha blue, this darker, richer blue on the Vector was very nice. Maybe they will bring that to other models in 2014. I would say bring it to the Apex, but I would rather it be on a new model.

I agree that new blue looks awesome

I like it too. But i still like the blue on my apex, it just says Yamaha to me. Its like the camaro blue metallic from late 80's that i also loved, not so much the car tho.

Is that darker than the 98 -02 SRX? deep purple blue? I like it also! Sweet :-o

I really like that color combo. Looks like its very similar to the Phazer from a few years ago? Navy blue and gold?

Don't like it, still a massive fan of the original Yamaha Deep Purplish Blue Metallic (think SRX 1998-2002...).

I painted two Volvo's that color, after first seeing it on the 1987 IROC-Z...!
Paint code GMA 87-21, I seem to remember...?

My son and I went to the Sneak Peek for the 2013 sled at Novi,Mi. yesterday afternoon, no Skidoo's, like last year.
They changed the color schemes for this year. The new Apex XTX almost looks like an '08 GT 40th. Really nice shade of Blue on the new Vector.
The new dual runner ski's looked good, and most dealers finally have the new Hyfax in stock.

Back by popular demand?

You can tell a flash was used in the pic above as it made it look lighter than it is. My photo was of the same sled.

I had a 98 SRX and this color is much darker than the SRX as it was very near the same as the Yamaha blue on my SXR and current Phazer.

It's a good use on the vector and venture as I think it is a "rich" color. BRP has had some rich colors on some renegades and watercraft. It's a nice change.

Your picture shows the color much better than mine ;)!

I think the color would be much more impressive if they carried it onto the side panels, either with vinyl or real color. It seems the other manufacturers are doing this, it must cost to much for Yamaha to go that way.

I missed you some how Nick. I was there from 6 to 8ish. Liked the new blue but Yamaha was a big yawn for sure. Plenty of interesting stuff in the other camps though..

I got there a few minutes after they opened, and left about 6pm.
Just wanted to see if there were any interesting changes, as the Demo Ride, was all 2012 models.
This will have to hold me till August, and Nelson's SnowMotion.
