2014 nytro 120" what rpm should I be clutching it too? I've searched but haven't found my answer. Right now I'm shifting around 8600. Another thing does yamaha restrict these for so many miles or hours. I went for a 200 km ride yesterday and about halfway through the sled seemed to really wake up. I have just over 400 kms on it now.
Thanks
Thanks

My new 2013 was very tight motor and chassis wise at first....much more than any new sled and I've been buying a new sled every two yrs fer 30
It loosened up somewhat after the 3rd tank of gas or so.....now at 800km and she's a lil looser but tstill obviously very "new".
Everybody I talk with including Yamaha techs is that the sled will dramatically become freer' running and faster/stronger at a couple to 3 thousand km!! I guess the 4 strk takes a lot longer to break in and the close tolerance (ie: high quality) build likewise.
My riding bought a new Nytro last yr and his had a def clear point around 1500km where it got faster on top and smoothed right out

Oh...and for shift rpm....8600 is the HP peak for the stock motor although the torque backup is wayyy wide and over rev doesn't fall on it's face so you don't have to worry about clutching right to or under the hp peak like a 2stk cuz there's lil if any penalty for over rev.

I'm really loving this new sled, every ride puts a bigger smile on my face.
