Looking to change chain case oil. Easiest way to do so with no bottom plug to drain?
Also what brand fluid is everyone using? Any recommendations appreciated.
 
Loosen the bottom few torx bolts let the oil run out all over your belly pan and then clean it up. I did drill a hole in my skid plate to the the oil run out. When tightening do not over tighten

Not to scare you, but this hokey Cat chaincase needs the cover pulled and all internal parts inspected. Clean the magnet on the shift fork, all those metal shavings wreak havoc on the functionability of the servo. Tensioners, chains, gears, bearings.... anything is suspect, cracked mounting tabs. Kinda makes me wonder why I ride NEW stuff. Its better to work on it now in a warm garage when there is no riding vs. broke down in the middle of a killer winter.
