Well I had a chat with someone who said there WILL be an all new sled to replace the Nytro. They were given no other info about the sled. In addition to that, the Apex and Vector are staying due to popular demand of tour fleet buyers. Only time will tell.
Here are some videos of Timbersled equipped dirt bikes.

Riding in the mountains.
I like the way a snobike can sidehill with seeming little effort. That would be a big advantage in the mountains. In deep snow I'm not all that impressed. The snobikes are cutting through the snow and not really planing out to float on top like a normal sled. I suspect they are riding on a good base with 2' of fluffy powder on top.
Even though the CVT transmission is wide, I still think it would be the best system. I like not having to shift or worry about shifting. Even if you had a button like the Honda ATV's with either a rubicon style tranny or a dual clutch, just being able to mash the thottle and not having any gaps in the power works really well in the snow.
Actionjack,
I also believe this is the last season for the Nytro.
Here it is, the real scoop on the 2014's:

so when the nytro does go bye bye what happens to its value? If it drops $1000-$2000 bucks it won't put much of a dent against a $12000-$14000 sled

I think you are reading too much into this holiday press release. It only mentions 2013 and we all know nothing really changed for 2013.

So a new big exspensive Nytro and nothing for the meat of the market, nothing for the trail rider at reasonable cost and weight? That's pretty sad.

And we thought it was hard to find 91 octane on the trail. Although, there are probably more remote places with Diesel, than 91.

The best part is, that my multiple sources all say NO Apex. The Apex even though a cult classic like the SRX 700, or the V-max 4 has had it's time a close source told me. The Nytro will be nothing like the Nytro of now, and you might as well consider it gone. It will not be a slight change like comparing a 2006 Apex to a 2011 or newer Apex. It will be going for a homerun, that hopefully doesn't fall short. Yes the Apex motor is unbelievable, but if I am understanding them correctly they want the new sleds to be more stream lined like the Doo's, Poo's, or Cat's. Similar chasis, with different motor's, and suspension choices.

Latest tibbit from a sled forum(creditable source, aka top mod)that the rumour yamaha/cat partnership won,t bear fruit until a few seasons down the road.sheetwright said:The best part is, that my multiple sources all say NO Apex. Looks like Chris is saying the crowd from over in Japan is coming to Canada next week and they are going "riding" the week after. That means you don't have to much time to book your flight! Don't forget your camera! Maybe you can get some spy shots of your own
